Fresh and Dry Grapes

Food we eat everyday, contain pulp as a material of different vitamins and there is water in it.
Now, considering watermelon, it contains around 96% of water in itself. So, the remaining 4% is the content. This content percentage keeps changing with the evaporation of water from the fresh fruit. The puzzle we are talking about today is based on this concept only.

Puzzle: Fresh grapes contain 90% water in themselves. The remaining 10% is the content. We need to make dry grapes from these fresh grapes. In dry grapes, the ratio of water to content changes drastically, as water evaporates. Now, consider the percentage of water in dry grapes is only 20. ie, Dry grapes contain 80% content and 20% water.
You are given with 20kg of fresh grapes. You are supposed to make dry grapes from these fresh grapes. How many kg of dry grapes can you make from these fresh grapes?

The puzzle is based on ratio and proportion concepts. Even if, you don't remember these concepts, you can still try to answer them, with mere logic.

Apples

My favourite puzzle:

An apple a day keeps the doctor away." This was just a fact to start the puzzle with.
Without roaming around the knowledge regarding the facts, I will come directly to the puzzle.

There is a city A, which produces apples in a large quantities. So, they export those apples to city B. Where, there is a huge need of apples. City A has 3000 apples ready to be exported to other cities. Now, there is one truck available at point A. Which has the capacity of 1000 apples. The distance between city A and B is 1000 miles. So, you have a task to use this truck to export these apples to 1000 miles away.

But, the truck driver is addicted to apples and he eats apples if available with him. He consumes one apple every mile he drives. So, how many apples can you manage to transfer from city A to city B? You can stop for any number of times in between.

The answer is completely logical. Correct answer is neither 3000 nor zero. So, think about it logically. You will definitely reach to answer as near as possible. All the best to you all. Solve this puzzle. This puzzle is not an easy one. It is tough but solvable.

3000 is not the solution, as you are not supposed to stop at every 0.99 miles to prevent driver from eating apples. Think logically. Stop at only integer number of miles. And, reach to the answer. (To omit this case only, I had written 3000 is not the answer.)

The different ball in terms of weight

Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Tennis, Baseball and many other games are incomplete without the balls. Now, think that certain number of one of these kind of balls are here with you. All these balls are supposed to have same weight. But, due to malfunction in producing of one ball, its weight is more than all other balls.
You are given 80 seemingly identical tennis balls, but one of them weighs slightly more than the others. You are given with a weight balance and are supposed to have a  number of tries to find the one ball with the heavier weight. You have to use minimum number of attempts to get to this heavy ball. Consider only worst case scenario. Ie, you are not supposed to think that you will find the heavier ball in only one attempt. Consider all the scenarios together. This is the kind of puzzle, which requires a certain amount of hard work to reach to the answer. The number of balls is a big number.

But, if you can not work with this huge number, try to work with smaller number of balls. For example, start solving with 12 balls or 20 balls. And, try to find the logic behind all these kind of riddles. You will surely get the logic which is true for any number of balls given. Find that logic and then you will be able to solve this kind of puzzle with any number given - no matter whether it is too big or too small. You will be able to solve that puzzle. All the best for solving this puzzle. Try hard, harder and hardest. Don't try to surf the answers through Internet, as this kind of puzzle will definitely be available to you with solution on Search Engine. Try to solve this interesting puzzle by yourself.

Diagonals on Chess board

Today the puzzle is about the famous game of Chess.
Chess is abbreviation given for "CHARIOTS HORSES ELEPHENTS SOLDIERS"
The game was basically invented in India first. Where it was called "Shatranj". This game is all about securing the King of your side and killing the opponent's. This game shows the exact philosophy of life: "Have faith in yourself. Even a mere pawn can be promoted to the Queen. The whole game is dependent on the survival of King. No matter how good your strategy is, if you can not secure your king. You are gone." The other philosophy says: " The more responsibility you have, the less power you achieve. ie, The King here can take steps of only length one."

Now coming to the technicalities of Chess Board, there are total 64 squares on the board. 32 Black and 32 white ones. All the squares are structured in a way that, no two black or no two white squares are side by side.

The puzzle says:
You are supposed to choose four squares. There are many ways possible to choose these squares. But from all those possible scenarios, what is the number of ways in which you can choose four squares such that, they all lie on the same diagonal.
The puzzle is quite famous one. This can be solved with the basics of probability theorems. So, try to solve on your own. There are many chances that you get the solution of this puzzle online. So, for that reason, I recommend you to solve on your own. Solve the puzzle and if you can't reach to answer, comment here. We will discuss the idea behind it. But, do not cheat by checking the solution online.

In how many ways you can select 4 squares on chess board such that all lie on the same diagonal??? Explain with reason.....

Next Letter

There is one more kind of logic puzzles. Which is asked for measuring the Intelligence Quotient. Which is known as IQ. Now, if I have to tell you about IQ, 80% of people on the Earth have an IQ between 60 to 120. 7% of the people have IQ between 120 and 130. While 10% lie below 60. IQ level above 130 is called an extraordinary intelligence. Einstein had an IQ level of 160 plus. Which is known as one of the highest IQ levels all over the world.

To build IQ levels and to test the same, you are supposed to solve as many logic puzzles as you can. I appreciate your interest in these puzzles and I am willing to take as many people as possible above IQ level of 130. If you are ready to increase your intelligence, I am here to help.

For testing your IQ level, I ask you three simple questions. And you are required to answer all these three puzzles with the help of your brain capacity. To maintain the truthfulness of this test, I recommend you to take this test within a time limit of two minutes.

The questions are:

1. What comes next in this sequence shown to you?

Sequence: S S E N T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T ?

2. For how many times do the minute hand and hour end meet each other during one day?

3. "CICFIAP" is the word which is jumbled. By, putting all the letters at their correct place, you get a famous name. That name is whether 1) City 2) Ocean 3) Country 4) Animal . Only one option is correct. Try to find the answer.

If you answer all three correctly within two minutes, you have IQ level of above 140.

If you answer two of them correctly, you are sitting with an IQ level of above 120.

If you can answer only one of them correctly, you have an IQ level of above 100.

Solve on your own. And compare your results with your friends. You will be amazed to see their thought processes. I will come with the answers after certain amount of time. Anyways, these questions are quite famous ones. So, if you can not solve them, there are answers available all over the internet. Just google the questions and you will reach to answers.

All the best. I hope to see your IQ levels in near future increased.
